“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight” (Proverbs 9:10).

In the Gospels, Jesus Christ is addressed as or referred to as “teacher” forty-five times. Teaching was an integral part of his ministry. It is through learning about God that God is revealed to us. As St. John Chrysostom says, “But mark, I pray, the Teacher's skill, how distinctly He summons them on towards believing” (Homily 9 on Matthew).

Christian Education strengthens our faith in God. Our parish offers several opportunities to learn about the Orthodox Christian Faith, in various ways. If you would like to participate in one of these ministries, please contact us in the Church Office.
