We look forward eagerly to next year's Festival, and hope for increased participation from the young people of the community. The purpose of the St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival is to give Orthodox teenagers an opportunity to learn, write, and speak about their Faith, Church and Heritage. This process will enhance their understanding and appreciation of their identity as Orthodox Christians, and cultivates spiritual growth and maturity.
Please encourage your child to participate by having them reviewing the topics and be prepared to discuss them with Fr. Anthony. For those teenagers who are self-motivated, writing and delivering a speech can be an easy task. Most, however, will need motivation and encouragement from their parents.
